Policy
This policy explains what DivHard Player is for, what it will not carry, and what it keeps. It is a public tool. Using it is your own responsibility.
What you may submit
Submit an address only when you are allowed to play it and to request a player for it. You may embed or share the player link only on that same basis.
Do not submit:
- media you are not allowed to play
- sexual or nude images of anyone under 18
- sexual or nude images shared without the consent of the person shown
- a private or unlisted recording you are not allowed to open
- a file whose only purpose is to deceive, to phish, or to attack a computer
- an address you are using to get around a limit placed by the site that hosts the file, when you have no right to play it
Public use, and the limit of control
Anyone can open the site. There is no sign-up, so the operator cannot approve a user, create a user, or ban a user. The operator also cannot see a name or an account history, because none is collected.
The operator can remove an address that has already been turned into a player. New player links for that address are refused. Player links that already exist for that address stop. That is the control the service has.
How an address is removed
A report on the DMCA page should include the player link or the source address. If the operator can recognize that address, it is added to the removal list and playback through this service stops.
Removal here does not delete the file from the website that hosts it. The rights holder may need to contact that website as well.
The same form is used for copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, reputation, intimate images, content involving a minor, and other unlawful material. Copyright notices should include the items listed on the DMCA page. A notice about anyone under 18 in a sexual image should describe the address only. Do not attach or embed the image.
Information this service holds
The service does not keep a public catalog of the addresses people submit, and it does not keep a user profile.
A short technical log records the source host, the time, whether playback succeeded, and the IP address. That log is used to run the service, to limit floods of requests, and to look up a host named in a report. It is not used to build an account, and it is not sold.
The address you submit is sealed inside the player link so the player can open it. That is not a registration record.
A notice you send stores your name, your email, the addresses you report, your description, the name you sign, the time, and the IP address of the notice. Those details are kept so the operator can act on the notice and reply. They are not sold. Do not include a copy of the media in the notice.
A removed address is kept on the removal list so the player continues to refuse it.
Other sites
The player asks for media from the address you supplied. That other site has its own rules and its own logs. This policy covers this website only.
Changes
A new version of this policy replaces the old one when it is posted here. The terms and conditions remain the rules of use.
